Refund and Returns Policy

At SkyTech IT Store, we take pride in selling 100% genuine, factory-sealed laptops, custom PCs, and IT accessories in Nepal. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, we understand that issues occasionally arise. This policy outlines the strict conditions under which returns, replacements, and refunds are accepted.

1. Eligibility for Returns & Replacements

Returns or replacements are only accepted under the following conditions:

  • Dead on Arrival (DOA): The laptop or hardware does not turn on or has a major manufacturing defect right out of the box.
  • Damaged in Transit: The physical product or display was broken during courier delivery. (Must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the package).
  • Wrong Item Delivered: You received a product with different specifications, color, or model than what you ordered on our website.

⚠️ Mandatory Unboxing Video: To protect against fraud and transit damage claims, we highly request customers outside Kathmandu Valley to record a continuous unboxing video when opening the courier package. This serves as proof for immediate replacement.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

Due to the nature of electronics, we cannot accept returns for the following reasons:

  • Change of Mind: We do not accept returns if you simply change your mind, don't like the color, or ordered the wrong product by mistake after the factory seal has been broken.
  • Software Issues: Operating system glitches, Windows update errors, or third-party software incompatibilities do not qualify for a hardware return.
  • Physical/Liquid Damage by User: Any product that has been dropped, subjected to liquid spills, or burned due to power fluctuations in your home.
  • Opened Consumables: Thermal paste, opened cables, or software license keys.

3. How to Initiate a Return

If your item meets the eligibility criteria, follow these steps within 3 days of receiving your order:

  1. Contact Us: Send a message to our WhatsApp support number or email us at returns@skytechitstore.com. Include your Order ID, exact issue, and photos/videos of the defect.
  2. Verification: Our tech team will assess the claim. If approved for return, we will provide you with shipping instructions.
  3. Repackage the Item: The product must be returned in its original condition, including the original box, manuals, chargers, and any free promotional gifts provided.
  4. Send it Back: Customers inside Kathmandu can visit our physical store. Customers outside the valley must use our partnered courier service to send the item back.

4. Refund Policy & Timelines

If a replacement unit is out of stock, we will issue a full refund. Once the returned item is received and inspected at our facility, refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days.

  • eSewa / Khalti / Fonepay: Refunded directly to your digital wallet.
  • Bank Transfer: Refunded to the exact bank account used for the original purchase.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): If you paid via COD, we will ask for your Bank Account or eSewa details to process the digital refund.

5. Warranty Claims (After 7 Days)

A "Return" applies only to the first few days of receiving a defective product. After 7 days, any hardware failure falls under the Official Brand Warranty. SkyTech IT Store sells authorized products from Apple, Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, and Asus. For warranty claims, you can bring the device to our store, and we will facilitate the repair process with the official authorized service centers in Nepal.
